Before designing or writing code, we need to understand the real problem — not just the deliverable you have in mind. In a discovery session I dissect the business, the users, the technical constraints and the mid-term vision. With that I build the technical documentation and a milestone roadmap with concrete acceptance criteria, so you know exactly what is going to be built, in what order and why.
While the technical documentation is being finalized, we start the visual direction in parallel. We begin from our own library of patterns proven on real projects to shorten exploration without sacrificing originality. We present a moodboard, align the aesthetic with the client and define the full visual system: palette, typography, base components. All validated before touching a single line of interface code.
I skip the static mockup phase and go straight to a functional product the client can touch in the browser. Each milestone is presented with a recorded async demo where I explain the architecture, flow and interaction decisions. The client reviews at their own pace and comes back with concrete feedback. If the project calls for it, I validate with AI heuristic tests or with real users.
The last 10% is where the difference between a prototype and a product shows. I review every visual detail — interaction states, micro-animations, responsive breakpoints and consistency across the component system. Design tokens are kept in sync with the code, so a color or typography change propagates automatically. What ships is exactly what was approved, with no loss of fidelity.
