Should I choose a subscription or a fixed-price plan?
It depends on what your project needs. The subscription plan is ideal for flexibility: pause or cancel whenever you want and pay only for design work. It is perfect for evolving projects, unlimited iterations and whenever you need ongoing expert support. It is great if you want to build a partnership that adapts as your business grows — we are here to support your goals for as long as you need us.
The fixed-price plan, meanwhile, is best for projects with a clear, defined scope. It offers upfront pricing and a structured process with a limited number of iterations, which makes it ideal for launches with specific requirements.
Which service should I pick if I'm not sure what I need?
It depends on what you already have and what you want to achieve. If you need to validate an idea with investors without building anything yet, start with the Pitch Deck. If you already have a business and need a website that converts better, the Landing Page is for you. If the goal is to launch a functional product or app end to end, the Launch Pack. And if what you are after is not a one-off deliverable but having design available on an ongoing basis, with several fronts open and needs that keep coming up, the Partnership is the option. And if you are torn between two, don’t overthink it: tell me on the intro call and I’ll calmly tell you which one fits your case best, with no commitment.
How does pricing work when development is involved?
On the fixed-price services (Landing Page, Pitch Deck), development is a separate add-on, because not every project needs it. Many clients only want the design to implement with their own team. In the Launch Pack, design and development are integrated from the start, and the final price is set once we are clear on the exact scope in the first phase. That way you don’t pay for features you won’t use and there are no surprises halfway through. And if your project doesn’t fit neatly into any of the packages, don’t worry — it is quoted to measure.
Is the process always the same, or does it adapt to my project and my timing?
The phase structure is the same because we know it works, but what happens inside each phase adapts to you, to the size of your project, to the tool you actually need (no-code or code) and to the pace at which you can give feedback. There is no rigid template applied the same way to everyone. The first phase exists precisely to understand your case before deciding how it gets built. If your timing is slower because you have other priorities, the project adapts to that pace. And if you need to move fast, it does too.
How does progress tracking work during the project? Am I left in the dark until it’s done?
Not at all. You’ll get real progress every week, not a single delivery at the end with fingers crossed. Communication is async, over Loom and Slack: I record demos explaining what I’ve done and why, so you can review them whenever suits you, without needing to line up a call. On top of that there are fixed sync points depending on the service. The idea is simple — that at no point in the project are you left wondering where things stand.
How do I start working with Deflow?
You choose the package that best fits what you need and book a discovery call with Iván. On that call we fine-tune the scope and get going. And if your project has something specific that doesn’t fit any of the packages, or you simply want a custom quote before booking anything, just write to me and we’ll figure out a solution that fits you.
Who is part of Deflow?
We are a small team by choice, not by limitation. I (Iván) lead every project from start to finish as the designer and the person directly accountable, and I work with a group of trusted freelancers who join when a project needs more hands or a specific specialty. That way there is always one person with real ownership of the outcome, but with the ability to grow the team when the work calls for it. And to give each project the attention it deserves, we never take on more than two or three at a time.
They say you’re fast thanks to AI. Does that mean the work is generic or careless?
Quite the opposite. AI speeds up the most mechanical parts — early wireframes, exploring visual directions, prototyping. But what decides whether the result is good is still the judgement of whoever is leading it. We’ve spent years as designers working with patterns we know work, so we don’t start from scratch every time; we apply that proven judgement on top of what AI generates. That’s where the real speed is — not reinventing the wheel on every project, not cutting quality.
What happens after I approve the design or the delivered work?
It depends on what you need at that point. If you want to keep working with Deflow on new phases, more content or future iterations, we talk about extending the collaboration with a new contract built for that next stage. If the project ends there, we close formally but stay in touch for whenever you need us. And if what we built keeps running, like a website or a product, we offer monthly support where we check that everything stays in order. That support is for what is deployed and live. On design-only projects, like a Pitch Deck or just the MVP screen design, it doesn’t apply, because there’s nothing running to maintain.
